I did not notice the engine swap. Why take the most bulletproof third-world vehicle on earth and change it? Doesn’t make sense to me.
For that matter, having that truck in this country at all strikes me as asking for trouble and would be out of place in much of the country anyhow.

Its gonna go up. These things are WAY overvalued. I still love them, should have bought one a few years ago.

I want to like it, and I’m sure it would be no trouble to register since it’s been titled in CA most recently. But two VINs, an engine swap, and clearly it was imported before it was 25... It’s not “moot” (seller says “mute”) because if push comes to shove, the thing was illegally imported. It’s very unlikely you’d get caught, but that’s a lot of money for the risk.
It looks well put together, though. Face value, I totally want it.

A worthy analysis. I just don’t see much of a place for it on this continent.
